TQEGF is a country guest house built for hosting. It was important to make the guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrived, and the caretaker and staff to be able to look after visitors, rooms and grounds without leaving their post.
The challenge was to make a large rural property easy for people who had never stayed there before, while keeping it secure without guests ever feeling watched.

After a long drive, it's a relief to walk into a room that's already softly lit. One tap by the door and the evening feels like yours, with warm light and your favourite music playing together. And when it's time to sleep, one press on the bedside remote makes the room quiet and dark, right from the comfort of your pillow.
For the staff, looking after guests feels calm and unhurried. They can answer the door, reach any room and keep an eye on the property from their office, so help is always close by.

Evenings tend to end up in the living area or the media rooms, with everyone settled in on the sofa. One button is all it takes to go from conversation to film night, and with the speakers hidden in the walls, the sound fills the room and pulls everyone into the film.
On a warm night, everyone can carry on out on the terrace, drinks in hand. The music comes with you, soft light settles over the seating, and the Wi-Fi reaches far enough to stay connected out in the garden.
For the hosts and regular guests, coming back is just like coming home. A touch of a finger at the door and they're inside, ready to put their bags down and relax. The staff can answer the front door from anywhere in the house, so every guest gets a prompt, personal welcome while the rest of the day carries on smoothly. The grounds were given the same care. Cameras and outdoor sensors cover the perimeter at night, placed out of guests' line of sight, so people can enjoy a late evening on the terrace completely at ease.
