A newly built villa in Ikoyi split into public and private wings, a banquet hall, and two pool gardens: a 25-zone whole-house audio system, an independent Dolby Atmos cinema, Control4 automation, structured networking, and a later whole-home 4K video upgrade.
The property was a newly constructed residential villa in Ikoyi built around two entirely separate wings, plus a banquet hall, meeting rooms, and public and private pool gardens, each needing its own independently zoned audio and video infrastructure and its own head-end equipment room. The cinema was specified to run entirely on its own, independent of the whole-house audio and video system.
Twenty-five independently controlled zones carry music from a shared source library across both wings and out into the gardens, with landscape satellite speakers and buried subwoofers hidden under the planting along both the public and private pool gardens.
The cinema runs on its own Control4 controller and a Trinnov Altitude32 processor driving a full Bowers & Wilkins array across front, surround, height, and dual subwoofer channels onto a 150-inch Screen Innovations masking screen, independent of the audio and video serving the rest of the house.
A Control4 EA5 controller and a sixteen-channel amplifier module anchor the private wing's head-end, with iPad Mini control stations mounted on LaunchPort bases in five rooms across both wings, giving the household one interface for whichever wing they are in.
A later video upgrade let every common-area screen in the house double as a family photo display when idle, and gave the household its own broadcast: video from the banquet hall or the outdoor terrace could be pushed live to every television at once.
