Ijebu Country Home is a new-build country estate outside Ijebu Ode, its main house organized in two wings around a domed, double-height foyer, with a guest complex, staff quarters and gate house sharing the same grounds. The scope covered the main residence, specified alongside the architecture itself rather than retrofitted once the building was finished.
A Control4 system forms the backbone across the main house, from the entrance foyer to the private office wing, standing in for what would otherwise be a dozen separate remotes and wall switches. Lutron HomeWorks QS lighting is layered in with occupancy sensors in halls and bathrooms, so common areas light themselves and go dark again unattended. Audio runs on Sonos and in-ceiling Origin Acoustics speakers through the living and dining rooms, extending outdoors to the pool and gardens on weatherproof Sonance speakers built for grounds of this scale.
Outdoor entertaining runs at cinema scale here too. A 100-inch weatherproof television lives permanently on the terrace by the pool, sized and built for daily outdoor use rather than an occasional event.
The ground floor also carries a video conferencing setup built into the private office suite beside the library, with its own camera, wireless presentation and a dedicated display, so a call needs no more setup than sitting down in front of it.
