A full-property technology build for Grand Pela Hotel in Durumi, Abuja: a converged voice and data network from the basement car park to the fourth floor, zoned public-address audio through the restaurant, casino, and function rooms, wireless fire and intrusion detection with property-wide camera surveillance, and satellite TV distribution to every guest room.
Grand Pela Hotel's cabling, audio, and security systems were engineered from architectural drawings years before the hotel was ready to receive them, then installed and commissioned floor by floor, from basement parking through four guest floors, as construction closed in behind the work. Every guest room, meeting space, and public area needed its own verified point rather than one assumed from the plan.
A converged network ties the property together: managed Wi-Fi access points on every floor, PoE switching, and a central rack feed IP cameras and phones from the same structured cabling that reaches every guest room. Public and function spaces are zoned independently for sound, so the restaurant, casino, poolside sitout, and the hotel's two named function rooms, Pela Function and Pela Single, each carry their own amplification and paging rather than one shared feed. In the guest room corridors, an Axxess signal and privacy system pairs a wireless bedside switch and doorbell with a panel outside each door, so a guest's Do Not Disturb or Make Up Room setting shows in the hallway without staff needing to knock first.
The property's cabling was proven point by point rather than signed off from the design. Hausba's wire checklist for Grand Pela runs to 591 separate pulls, cameras, speakers, and data drops alike, each one numbered, labeled to its head end, and tested for continuity on site, with all but a handful marked passed.
