A 2019 residence getting a 2026 refresh: newer lighting, whole-home audio, a rebuilt network, and an upgraded cinema.
This family home is made up of three separate buildings behind one gate: a two-level main house, a fitness building with its own live-in quarters for the wellness team, and a private mosque. The main house has His and Her suites, four bedrooms for the children, a guest room, formal and casual living rooms and a home cinema. In 2026, the client came back to us to update the system.The challenge was to run all three buildings as one home, while giving every space, from the family suites to the staff bedrooms and the mosque, the same level of attention. The client got in touch in 2026 to update the technology throughout the home.
We created one system that connects all three buildings while keeping the experience in each room simple.
Whether you are in His Study or a bedroom in the fitness building, you have the same things to hand: lighting that is easy to control, a cordless phone on the house line and Wi-Fi that follows you from room to room.
Lighting is the largest part of the installation, with a glass keypad in nearly every room of the main house. Smoke and heat detectors cover every room in all three buildings, and cameras watch the pool, gardens, driveway and every side of the perimeter, with everything monitored from one central panel.
The Home Cinema is built for family film nights. One tap on the touchscreen dims the lights, starts the projector and opens the family's film library, with surround sound filling the room.
The pool and pergola are built for evenings outdoors. Garden speakers sit among the planting, with a bass speaker buried underground, so music carries across the pool with no equipment in sight.
We kept the technology to a minimum, a smoke detector, a network connection and a gentle lighting scene, so the space stays quiet and nothing on the walls distracts from prayer. The live-in quarters in the fitness building were treated with the same care. The women's and men's wings each have their own living area, and every bedroom has its own phone, network connection and smoke detector, just like the bedrooms in the main house.
