A dedicated home cinema in Guzape, Abuja: a 210-inch projection screen, immersive height-channel sound, scene-based lighting, and single-remote control, built into a room engineered from the studs up for acoustic isolation.
Alexence Cinema was built as its own room rather than fitted into an existing one, with two rows of stepped cinema seating at the front and a bar area at the back sharing the same acoustic shell. The brief called for a formal screening room and a lounge in the same footprint, run from one remote rather than a wall of separate controls.
A 210-inch fixed screen and native 4K laser projector anchor the room, driven by a nine-channel immersive processor with six height channels and multi-point subwoofer bass across the front and side walls. Lutron RA2 Select handles the room's lighting scenes, from a bright pre-show setting to a dimmed Relax mode, while a Control4 EA1 controller and NEEO remote bring the cinema, lighting, and media server under one interface.
Before any equipment went in, the room was built as its own acoustic enclosure: stud walls lined with rockwool and gypsum-board absorbers, a resin-backed acoustic carpet underlay, then finished months later in a tailored Vicoustic panel layout, mixing Flat Panel VMT absorption with VicPattern diffusion across two colourways.
