Alara Concept Store: background audio, access control, IP surveillance, IP telephony, and networking for a four-floor Lagos retail store and its admin block, extended over five years to cover a restaurant, garden, and terrace added after the original fit-out.
Alara's concept store rises four retail floors above an admin block and generator yard, with the till, jewellery room, and VIP shopping floor each running back to a single ground-floor server room. The brief covered background audio, access control, and IP surveillance for the whole building at handover, and the same head end was still being built onto five years later, as a restaurant, garden, and terrace joined the store.
Apart amplification and a PMR4000R source player feed Flatline Acoustics ceiling speakers through the jewellery room, VIP shopping floor, and walkway, with landscape speakers on the terrace; a 2015 scope of work carried the same amplifier and control room out to the restaurant, its garden, and two toilets, and a 2019 upgrade gave the outdoor run its own L'Acoustics SYVA system on a dedicated rack.
Salto's Pro-Access software and Mifare-credentialed XS4 locks secure the admin block stores, the MD's office, and the server room, with Kantech hardware on the back-of-house doors, all managed from one card database; Axis cameras covered the retail floors, the till, and the site perimeter from installation, and a 2018 upgrade added a Bosch NVR and camera kit and a new equipment rack alongside them.
A Grandstream UCM6102 PBX and Luxul PoE switching carry voice, surveillance, and audio traffic over one structured-cabling run, and every later change order, a reordered batch of access cards, an added camera, a new speaker zone, tied into that same backbone.
The 2019 upgrade to the restaurant garden specified L'Acoustics SYVA enclosures, a SYVA LOW subwoofer, and an LA4X amplified controller, a touring-stage loudspeaker line, on a rack protected by its own dedicated 5kVA online UPS.
